Nadia Elena Comaneci

In the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games, the athlete became an international sensation after scoring the first perfect ten in the world of sports. To add to that, she went to score six more perfect 10s, making her the youngest overall Olympic gold medalist at just 14 years of age. In addition to helping Nadia Comaneci attract attention from everywhere and help Romania to establish itself on the map of the world. By achieving a score that was unattainable the sport's icon helped bring gymnastics to the forefront of international attention. This changed the perception of female athletes. Such was her impact during this Olympics that an uneven bar contest includes two movements named in honor of her toe-on and release. Both have been rated at a high difficulty level. Besides Olympics her performance was impressive. She also showed outstanding performance at both the World Championships and European Championships and was subsequently a living legend in the sport and amongst the top-known gymnasts anyone could achieve. The "Queen" of Olympics when she emigrated to America, tried her hand at modeling and marketing sports equipment. Nadia Nadia Nadia Nadia 2 Nadia
